A few months ago son was potentially looking for another job.
I won't bore you with the details.
But something I enjoy doing is research and researching jobs seemed like a good thing to do.
So on Craigslist I started reading what was available.
And found a listing for a cook at The Thumb.
Now names intrigue me.
Names of blogs.
Names of restaurants.
Just names in general.
So when I saw The Thumb listed of course I had to check it out further.
It really is interesting.
A gas station but so much more, kind of in the middle of nowhere here.
You can get an oil change and other work on your car while you wait.
A meal, a store, and so much more.
Lots of coolers here made out of interesting things. Like this.
You could do your Christmas shopping here. You would find something for everyone on your list.
It's a hitchhikers paradise! :)
ReplyDeleteKind of super cool.. like a Cracker Barrel, but with more unique stuff.
What-a-place..... -smile-
ReplyDeleteGreat that you discovered it, in your searching.
Did your son find a job?

I want to go there!!! I want that VW cooler.
ReplyDeleteMe, too! Love that airstream cooler and the VW bug. :) I'll bet it's going to be a big hit - particularly with the rich tourists - in that location.
ReplyDeleteI love the concept. What a cool place!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is that corner with the sign "I love you like biscuits and gravy".
That is a really cool place! I love all the different coolers. And an unusual name! I would love to explore it myself. It would definitely be a place to shop for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck with the new site, Betty!
ReplyDelete'Thumbs' seems to be some sort of All-in-One place, but attractive and interesting!
What a cool place to visit. I could spend hours just looking at all the different items in a store like that. It would be a great place to stop while on a road trip to take a break. Do let us know how the food is when you go.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat place! I love how unique the coolers are. I would love to have breakfast and shop while getting my car fixed!
